Content Engagement and Responding to Reader Opinion
Content engagement and responding to a reader reply can be something that is very rewarding for both the reader and the provider of that content. Here is the deal though, if you post content on social media, you have to be prepared to accept comments and discussion that may be confrontational or even question your stature as a professional in your own field of expertise.
With that being said, is it okay to delete comments that may be putting your back to the wall and make you feel uncomfortable? My feeling is absolutely not unless it is a comment that is vulgar or even threatening in nature. You see, when your back is against the wall you can either choose to hide from it, which is an absolute no go for any professional, or you can choose to deal with it accordingly and prove your credibility.
Content Engagement…Looking at the End Game
With content engagement, you have to look at the end game before you post that content itself. Think about it before you post. Will your content denote a negative response from your followers? Or will it create a really good response and conversation? To be safe, you might want to go with valuable and relevant content that you audience will engage with and want to share.
