Video Is Important For Business In More Than One Way

Video is important for business in more that one way. Let me take a little bit of time to give you a little run down on how TEEM LLC. has looked at the way marketing and spreading the word about business has been done in the past. Then I will give you a our run down of how video can play into this. Lets face it if you have not adopted video into your marketing plan you probably should so that you can keep up with your competitors and maybe even learn from them.

In the past, well let us call it “The Good Old Days” most good and reliable businesses would have a great following of loyal customers that would give referral business on a daily basis. It was a whole network of business cards and Phone numbers of businesses that you used on a regular basis. Whether your contact information was scribbled on a pad or pinned to a cork board or stuck on someone’s refrigerator so that they could have quick access to your info, rest assured your info was still there and waiting to be recalled upon or referred out at any given time. The thing about business cards is that there was usually a look in the eye and attached conversation followed by a handshake. Personal service and accountability were key when people and business meshed. The days of turn-key  systems and conversation about your future business deal is what I consider “The Good Old Days”.

Lets fast forward a little bit. In today’s business place that one on one and face to face connection has never been less prevalent. Depending on what business that you are in there are often times that a sales person never actually gets to be in the physical presence of the person or company that they just made a sale to. Our communication has been detached over the years through technology in such a way that we get to know a side of people who you would not see if you were in the same room as them. Communication between parties includes more bold conversation in some cases or more politically correct conversation in other cases. Now think about this! If you were in the same room as the person or business that you were trying to do business with and you could read the body language and facial expressions as you were conversing you would definitely be able to have a more clear conversation right? I think so and most people I think would agree with me on that. Video can help to make the connection that you need to put business in the new age of communication right back where it needs to be.

Video For Business And How You Can Use It

Video for business can put the personal communication back in to the forefront of your marketing and business relations. For instance if you are an entrepreneur and your business depends on people subscribing to your product or newsletter would you rather rely on a few written words on your site to convince your customers that they should follow you? How about putting it all on video so that your facial expressions and passion about what you are doing can be displayed for all to see. Make yourself a little vulnerable and let people in to see who you are so that  they feel like they actually know you. Let them connect to you through your personality and passion on the visual and audio level instead of just some letters on a page.

Some more great things about using video for business is that video allows for you to Brand yourself and portray an image that can not be seen in other ways. It is an extra form of communication if you will. Along with branding, another way that the public looks at you is through your reputation. Reputation Marketing and business recommendations are some things that get along with video very well. Sure we have sites like Angie’s List that do this but how about your own collection of happy customers talking about your brand and what you do on video. Technology allows us as business owners to incorporate logos, colors, personal messages and personality in to video. Video is here to stay in the business world as well as our personal lives. Adopt this form of communication and your customers will be more loyal and better connected to who you are and what you are really about.
